It is with a heavy heart that we communicate the cancellation of our Young Shubbak and AWAN event Thawra, She Said on March 24th. The safety and wellbeing of our artists, collaborators, and audiences are of utmost importance to us during this COVID-19 global crisis.
We want to thank our Young Shubbak team and all the artists involved for their incredible hard work and dedication. And of course, our event partners AWAN Festival, The Book Club, and the Paul Hamlyn Foundation for their ongoing support.
We will make a future announcement should there be an opportunity to postpone or hold a digital version of the event. For now, please get in touch with AWAN via your booking link if you have already purchased a ticket and would like a refund. We encourage you to consider donating the ticket price to all the efforts that have gone into making the festival possible.
