The Shubbak festival opening reception took place on 24 June 2013 at The Victoria & Albert Museum, London. Speakers included the Mayor of London Boris Johnson, Alistair Burt, Parliamentary Under Secretary for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs and Omar Al Qattan, Shubbak Festival Chair.
