Why your support matters

As a registered charity, Shubbak is a not-for-profit and relies on donations to continue its important work with Arab artists. Alongside our regular audiences, we work with schools, young people, community groups and those who are currently underrepresented in the UK arts scene to bring the best of Arab arts to the public.

Individual Giving

Shubbak creates opportunities for people of all ages to engage with Arab artists' creativity and innovation through our award-winning, multi-artform festival and trailblazing participation programme. Your donation enables us to create new interactions between artists, individuals, and communities. With your support, we can provide inspiring opportunities for people who are often dealing with an unsettled existence away from family, friends, and their places of birth.

Assisted Ticket Scheme

The 2019 festival reached over 60,000 people in over 50 events across over 40 venues. Among those audiences were 500 people who we supported to attend events through our Assisted Ticket Scheme that they would otherwise not have attended.

Please make a donation to support our Assisted Ticket Scheme through which we connect refugees, migrants, community groups, recently arrived individuals from low-income backgrounds, and young people in education to art and artists from South West Asia and North Africa (SWANA) and its diaspora.

Free tickets to live and online events, access to Arabic translators, free travel to venues, assisted guidance, and pre and post-show artist talks are all subsidised by the Assisted Ticket Scheme
