يستضيف برنامج Friday Late في متحف V&A شباك.
منذ خمسة عشر عاماً، يواصل شباّك الإحتفاء بالممارسات الفنية المعاصرة لفناني/ات منطقة جنوب غرب آسيا وشمال أفريقيا، المنطقة الناطقة باللغة العربية بكل ما يحمله من إبداع، تعقيد، تعدّد، وقوة، وقدرة دائمة على مساءلة السائد وإعادة تخيّل الممكن.
إحتفاءً بهذه المحطة، يجمع الجسد بوصفه وعاءً /Body as a Vessel/ مجموعة من الفنانين/ات الذين ينظرون إلى الجسد باعتباره حاملاً للذاكرة، وحيزاً تتقاطع فيه الحكمة والمقاومة، والحِرفة وصناعة المعنى، والمعرفة والصدمة، والتعافي والقيود، والفرح.
ومن خلال تجارب فنية متعددة الحواس، يدعوننا إلى إختبار الجسد، والحسي، والتجربة الجسدية بوصفها فضاءات تُحفظ فيها القصص، وتتجسد عبرها الخبرات المعاشة، وتُفتح منها إمكانات جديدة للتخيّل.
وعبر الأداء، والأعمال التركيبية، والموسيقى، والطعام، والتجارب الجماعية، يمتد البرنامج عبر الأزمنة والجغرافيات، ليقترح سرديات بديلة تتجاوز حدود اللحظة الراهنة، وتفسح المجال لخيالات ثقافية جديدة.

Shubbak takes over the V&A Friday Late.
For fifteen years, Shubbak has celebrated the contemporary art of Arab and SWANA artists in all its creativity, complexity and power.
To mark this anniversary, Body as a Vessel brings together artists whose practices explore the body as a site of wisdom, resistance, craft-making, sense-making, knowledge, trauma, healing, restriction and joy. Through multi-sensorial artistic encounters, they invite us to experience the corporeal, the sensorial and the somatic as spaces where histories are held and expressed, where lived realities are critically examined, and where new possibilities can be imagined.
Across performances, installations, music, food and collective experiences, the evening unfolds through works that stretch across time, geographies and realms, constructing alternative narratives that reach beyond the present moment.
