Thank you for walking with us through Shubbak Festival 2025
In a time marked by deep pain, complexity and uncertainty for so many of us here and across the Arab region, coming together has taken on a different kind of meaning. Holding space for artists, audiences, and communities this year has felt more tender than ever before, and with it the need to create contained pockets for joy, grief, rage, laughter, resistance and so much more.
From powerful performances and vital conversations to shared meals and quiet, grounding moments, thank you for the community we have built together.
This year’s festival certainly helped us search for, and find, each other. And in the midst of devastation and injustice, we are reminded that the alchemy of art and community remains a vital source of our fuel and resilience.
The Shubbak team has taken some time to pause and we are still holding all the emotions, the stories, and the strength we witnessed and shared. We’ll be sharing more highlights and reflections in the coming weeks. But if you're already missing us as much as we're missing you, here’s a first glimpse back at some moments that will stay with us.
