Gaza Remains The Story

A multi-media exhibition delving into Gaza’s unique identity, beyond the headlines that often dominate global narratives.

Confronting the misinformation surrounding Palestine, the exhibition highlights the colonial context that has shaped Gaza’s reality today. It emphasises the everyday lives of ordinary Gazans and the  rich cultural heritage of this historic city, offering a counter narrative to the mainstream media’s focus on the  violence and devastation of recent years.

The exhibition asserts that Gaza’s history and cultural life extend far beyond its present struggles. It celebrates Gaza’s resilience, arts, and creativity, showing that its people and their stories have endured through centuries of occupation and hardship, long before and after the tragedies that have defined it in the public eye.

Gaza Remains the Story is a project by The Palestine Museum presented by Shubbak Festival.
