Join us as Maqam takes up a temporary home at Shubbak Corner for a three-week residency blending books, art, and play. Maqam Mu’aqqat (translated as “temporary place”) transforms the Corner into a welcoming gathering space to read, rest, browse, and connect.

In the spirit of Maqam, a nomadic bookshop and social project centring artists and writers from the Arab world and its diasporas, this residency continues our commitment to creating moments of cultural pause and connection, however fleeting.

Hosted at Shubbak Corner, a community-driven space for curiosity, collaboration and care.
