Join us for a dynamic online conversation exploring Enter the Mulberry Tree and Fly Free, a striking exhibition which showcases the works of twelve Palestinian comic artists.
Presented as part of Shubbak Festival, this online panel will take you behind the scenes of the exhibition’s creation and curation. From the political to the poetic, discover how comics can be a lens for resistance, storytelling, and cultural identity. The discussion will delve into selected works from the exhibition and open wider conversations about the role of comics in today’s geopolitical climate.
Chaired by Julie Tait, Director at Lakes International Comic Art Festival. Featuring curator George Khoury, and cartoonists Mohammad Sabaaneh and Amal Al-Nakhala.
