Shubbak Festival is the UK's largest biennial festival of contemporary Arab cultures, bringing new and unexpected voices alongside established artists to London every two years. The festival returns with its seventh edition this summer, from 23 May–15 June 2025!  Check out the Shubbak Festival Programme 2025

Whether you’re new to Shubbak or have been involved before, we need your help!
We are interested in hearing from passionate and committed individuals who want to join us to deliver our ambitious programme - this opportunity is open to anyone based in London with a passion for working in the arts and an interest in or connection to Arab and South West Asian and North African (SWANA) cultures. 

As part of volunteering with us you will:

  • get to meet and network with artists from around the world,
  • gain hands on experience in producing a festival,
  • plus FREE TICKETS to a number of our shows
  • your own snazzy Shubbak t-shirt
  • a daily allowance for food and travel

Shortlisted applicants will need to attend an in-person Volunteer Orientation session on 8th May 1pm to 3pm.
Please make sure you're available to attend this session at the Arab British Centre in central London.

As part of your application, you will need to confirm you have completed this Equal Opportunities Monitoring FormApplications will not be considered unless this step is complete.

Please note, you don't need to have all the skills listed below nor will you be expected to. We welcome everyone to apply and will shortlist and assign roles together based on the information you provide us to see which events/projects would be a good fit for you!
