We warmly invite you to a special SWANA Soirée Quiz Night. Together, let us laugh, learn, and honour our collective resilience. In a world that grows more uncertain and hostile amidst the far right riots and spates of violence across the UK, we stand strong in our belief in the power of coming together in solidarity, joy, and communal love. We will continue to celebrate our shared stories and cultures. We will gather to share reflections, rage and grieve, learn together, break bread, and overcome the borders —physical, psycho-social, and structural—that we face.

Join us at 7 PM on Thursday, August 29th and test your knowledge of (almost) all things SWANA while enjoying the delicious food and warm hospitality at Hiba Express.

We will have an Action Table where you can donate to causes supporting Palestinian, Sudanese, Yemeni, and Bengali communities. You'll also find contacts, information, and upcoming events related to these critical issues. Please feel free to share any resources and campaigns you’ve come across and think we should all get behind.

At Shubbak, we are working to deepen our participation work, amplify our community’s voices, and share local stories. We are a small team with big dreams and we are working tirelessly in these challenging times to champion artists and creative expression from Palestine, Sudan and beyond across the SWANA region. We will continue to carve out spaces for dialogue, expression and build transnational solidarities.
