Recent attacks on Gaza have rendered the lives and livelihoods of too many Palestinian artists and cultural organisations at grave risk. Shubbak exists to champion artists & artistic creation from cultures of the Arab region and beyond and it is our firm & unwavering belief that artists and cultural practitioners in Palestine have a right to live and work in safety and dignity.
We call on cultural organisations, artists and writers across the UK to take action and demand an immediate ceasefire, to protect Palestinian artists, their friends, families and communities. Along with the Arab British Centre and Arts Canteen, we are co-organising a Gathering for Gaza on Thursday, 26th October at Grand Junction (W2). Please join us.
