Shubbak Festival is the UK’s premier festival of contemporary Arab arts and culture and it returns this summer with an exciting hybrid festival programme boasting a number of newly commissioned work by artists from South West Asia and North Africa (SWANA).

Given the current times, we’re embracing the opportunity to have a digital approach that allows us to connect with the SWANA region in a way we’ve never done before, whilst still working closely with artists and venues on physical events.

Volunteers have always played a pivotal role in the delivery of the festival, and this year is no different. We’re looking for a number of volunteers to join us at some of our physical events this summer, as well as supporting some of our online programme. Ideally, volunteers will be flexible and be able to commit to at least 2 shifts. Volunteers will be able to gain hands-on experience in areas such as market research, production support, social media and artist liaison.

If you’re interested, please fill out this form by 28th May, 6pm. Selected volunteers will be contacted the week commencing May 31st to discuss next steps.
