A collective inquiry hosted by Dr Sara Alsaraf exploring the tensions and fluidity of preserving and re-imagining Arab places, culture and traditions. Accompanied by a collage making exercise facilitated by Young Shubbak.
Participants will be invited to connect with personal and collective narratives, using somatic practices, collage and images, and spoken and written word as mediums to explore cultural memory and future-making.
How has the coloniser’s imposition impacted our desires for the Arab-speaking region? Does the ongoing violence and loss and feelings of grief influence our ability to imagine possibilities for our region? Amongst these and other lines of inquiry we invite you to share your ideas through creativity and discussion
Young Shubbak.
