Celebrate Eid with a Souq at Lower Stable Street, Coal Drops Yard, King’s Cross – a market of beauty, and heritage from across the Arab world & SWANA region.
Rooted in ancestral care traditions, the souq brings together a selection of vendors offering SWANA soaps, oils, henna, kohl, adornments, skincare, textiles, and culinary treats — each carrying its own story of self-love, lineage, and celebration.
As part of the day, the Talking Textures exhibition by Yasemin Hassan opens with a walking tour by the artist, exploring textured hair as a living archive of identity and resistance.
In the evening, the souq shifts into celebration, with a high-energy DJ set from British-Kurdish selector LANA, spinning SWANA rhythms that conjure joy and nostalgia.

السوق ده معمول من قلب تقاليد أجدادنا في العناية بالنفس، وبيجمع باعة من المنطقة بيبيعوا صابون، زيوت، حنة، كُحل، حاجات للبشرة، أقمشة — وكل حاجة وراها حكاية عن حب النفس، والأصل.
خلال اليوم، هيتفتح معرض Talking Textures للفنانة ياسمين حسن، وهنمشي معاها في جولة بنتكلم فيها عن الشعر المُجعد وازاي هو بيوثق الهوية.
وبالليل، السوق هيتحوّل لاحتفالية، مع دي جي LANA البريطانية-الكردية، اللي هتقدم موسيقى من منطقتنا تفرّح القلب وتفكرنا بذكريات حلوة.
