A Festival of Connection and Transformation
We are thrilled to announce Shubbak Festival 2025, bringing together Arab and SWANA (South West Asian & North African) voices in a festival that highlights art and culture as sites of connection and transformation.
Together, we’ll take in brave new visions of our futures, share in the healing properties of radical joy and entwine the common threads of our collective liberation.
Festival Highlights
From vibrant public squares to intimate galleries, from gardens to theatres, and into digital spaces, Shubbak 2025 will host a range of brilliant artists. This year’s multi-artform programme comprises a rich tapestry of dance, music, theatre, family events, and more.
A major highlight of this year’s festival, MILK مِلْك, is now on sale. Shubbak and Southbank Centre are proud to present this powerful visual performance by Bashar Murkus, Khulood Basel, and Khashabi Theatre (Palestine).
The largest production from Palestine to come to the UK in at least 25 years, MILK مِلْك sets the tone for the festival – unapologetically centering Palestinian artistry and cultural expression. Catch it on 24 & 25 May at the Southbank Centre—tickets available now.
Art In Times of Crises
We recognise the fullness of the moment - holding together grief and joy, resistance and imagination. Shubbak 2025 is a festival that interweaves ancestral knowledge with dreams of free futures.
Join us as we imagine and create together, embracing solidarity and celebration across generations. Full programme details coming soon. Follow us on social media or join our mailing list for updates and ticket announcements.
